Beyond the Music

The weekend starts with the Dublin Irish Festival 5K and ends with the Festival Finale, in-between there is something for everyone.

5K & Kids Dash

The 2025 Dublin Irish Festival 5K & Kids Dash, presented by IGS Energy, kicks off the 2025 Dublin Irish Festival on Thursday, July 31, in Historic Dublin. Following the race, the celebration continues at the Post-Race Party and Concert!

Food & Beverages

The Dublin Irish Festival offers Irish fare like stews, fish and chips, and baked goods alongside whiskeys, beer, cocktails, soft drinks, and water. Enjoy whiskey tastings or specialty dishes while at the Festival.

Celtic Canines

In the Celtic Canine area, sponsored by Riverside Bank of Dublin, animal lovers may see the animals up close and learn about the history of Irish dogs from some of the Midwest’s top breeders.

Cultural

Visitors may discover the richness of Irish history and culture through literary and historical presentations. Hands-on workshops are offered throughout the weekend at the Music and Cultural Workshop stages.

Darts

Darts in Ireland has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. Visitors can learn about the game of darts through seminars by professional Wade Wilcox or grab a partner and join one of the competitions at the darts tent.

Defenders Den

The Defenders Den is a covered rest area that offers complimentary snacks, non-alcoholic beverages and veteran resource information to active and retired military members, veterans of all military branches, first responders and up to three accompanying family members.

Genealogy

The Genealogy tent at the Festival is open to all who want to find out more about their ancestry. We have experts on-hand to guide visitors in searches – whether just starting out or needing help with a difficult question.

Shopping

More than 90 vendors from across the globe showcase their unique craftsmanship and creativity with handmade jewelry, home décor and fine art. From clothing to crystals, the Festival is the perfect place to find unique gifts and souvenir pieces of DIF swag.

Sports

The Dublin Irish Festival’s Greenfields Sports Area features athletes from around the country competing in traditional Highland Games and Stones of Strength events. Sheep herding demonstrations round out the weekend’s activities

Sunday Services

Seven different Sunday church services are offered. Guests arriving between 9:30 and 11 a.m. receive free admission to the Festival. Non-perishable food items and monetary donations benefiting the Dublin Food Pantry will be collected at all entrance gates.

Wee Folk

In the Wee Folk area, families may enjoy crafts, contests, performances and dance instruction. The Pot O’ Gold Playland, located in the south end of the festival, features more than 20 inflatables. Restrooms and tented seating areas with tables are conveniently located within the playland.

Whiskey Tastings

Tastings have long been a Dublin Irish Festival favorite. In 2025 tastings take place throughout the weekend in the Whiskey Tasting Tent.
