Stemm to lead Dublin Irish Days presented by the Dublin Irish Festival

The Dublin Irish Festival is pleased to announce the selection of long-time Festival supporter Bill Stemm as the 2021 Honorary Chair. Stemm was was originally selected to serve in 2020, prior to the cancellation of last year’s in-person Festival due to the coronavirus pandemic. Former Dublin Irish Festival Honorary Chairs, Mayor Greg Peterson, and City Manager Dana McDaniel, selected Bill Stemm as Honorary Chair in recognition of his support and dedication to the Festival.

In this role, Bill Stemm will preside over festivities surrounding this year’s unique Dublin Irish Days event that’s presented by the Dublin Irish Festival, Aug. 4-8, 2021. He will also serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Festival year-round. In addition, other official roles include starting the Dublin Irish Festival 5K presented by IGS Energy and leading the Dublin Irish Days Finale.

A major contributor to the Dublin Irish Festival for years, Stemm’s active involvement will continue to strengthen given his new role.

Bill has been with G&J Pepsi for 17 years and has held several positions including Director of Sales, Market Director and his current position, Vice President, On Premise.  In his position as Vice President, On Premise, Bill is responsible for On Premise sales which include College & Universities, Hotels, Fairs & Festivals, Restaurants, Leisure, Workplace sales and Prestige Partners as well as the MEM department, Chilled Beverages and G&J Call Center.

Prior to coming to G&J, Bill spent 23 years with another local Columbus company, Big Bear Supermarkets.  Bill spent his time with Big Bear Supermarkets as Store Manager, District Manager and DSD Buyer.

Bill attended Franklin University in Columbus and served on the Board of Directors for the Members First Credit Union for 14 years, including several years as Board President.

Bill is a current board member with the Columbus Sports Commission and was also elected as Honorary Chair for the 2020-21 Dublin Irish Festival.

Hobbies include golfing, traveling and sports.

Bill and his wife Debbie live in Pickerington, Ohio and have one son, Corey and one daughter, Cailyn, both of whom are married.  Bill and Debbie also have two granddaughters, Oakland & Sutton, and one grandson, Owen.
