Liu to lead the 35th Dublin Irish Festival

The Dublin Irish Festival is pleased to announce the selection of Jason Liu as the 2022 Honorary Chair. Former Dublin Irish Festival Honorary Chairs, Mayor Chris Amorose Groomes, and City Manager Dana McDaniel, selected Liu in recognition of his support and dedication to the Festival.

In this role, Jason Liu will preside over festivities surrounding the 35th Dublin Irish Festival, Aug. 5-7, 2022. He will also serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Festival year-round. Other roles include starting the 5K and Kids Dash, opening the Festival, judging several Irish contests and leading the Festival Finale.

Jason Liu, owner of J. Liu Restaurant and Bar and Woody’s Wing House has been a sponsor of the Dublin Irish Festival since he opened his Dublin location in 2005. He and his staff donate dinner each year at the Emerald Club. In addition, J. Liu annually sponsors a luncheon after the St. Patrick’s Day parade honoring the Grand Leprechaun. Jason and his wife, Tina, have two sons.

Liu reacted to the selection by stating, “I am so thankful to be part of the Dublin community and honored to have the opportunity to serve as Honorary Chair.”
