Dublin Irish Festival Golf Outing Winners Announced; $9,400 Raised for Scholarships

The Dublin Irish Festival Golf Outing was held Thursday, Sept. 23, at Safari Golf Club and proved that Irish spirits shine whether on the green or in the rough.

Foursome Winners:
  • First Place: Coughlin Automotive, London, OH
  • Second place: Frost Brown Todd, Columbus, OH
  • Third Place: O’Neil Tents, Canal Winchester, OH
Winners of the Contests:
  • Longest Putt: Christian Vail
  • Longest Drive Women’s: Hilda Doyle
  • Longest Drive Men’s: Stephen Smith Jr.
  • Closest to the Pin Men’s: Bob Winship
  • Closest to the Pin Women’s: Hilda Doyle
In conjunction with the Golf Outing, a silent auction was held to benefit the Dublin Irish Festival Scholarship Fund. Annually, two graduating high school students are awarded $2,500 each for their college expenses based on their volunteer efforts at the Festival. More than $9,000 was raised through the silent auction.
