The Dublin Irish Festival is pleased to announce the selection of Ian Montgomery as the 2023 Honorary Chair. Former Dublin Irish Festival Honorary Chairs, Mayor Jane Fox and City Manager Megan O’Callaghan, selected Montgomery in recognition of his support and dedication to the Festival. In this role, Ian Montgomery will preside over festivities surrounding the 36th Dublin Irish Festival, August 4-6, 2023. He will also serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Festival year-round. Other roles include starting the 5K and Kids Dash, opening the Festival, judging several Irish contests and leading the Festival Finale.
Ian “Monty” Montgomery, owner of Fadó Pub and Kitchen has been a sponsor of the Dublin Irish Festival since he opened his restaurant located at Bridge Park in 2018. He and his staff plan to donate lunch at the Emerald Club at this year’s Festival. Montgomery is a native of Dublin, Ireland where he was a member of the Irish police force, An Garda Siochana, before relocating to Columbus in 2006. Ian and his wife Michelle have four children; Finn (16), Beckett (14), Rory (12) and Cormac (9).
