Support the Dublin Food Pantry

The Dublin Irish Festival has been the Dublin Food Pantry’s largest donor for the past 10 years, and the Festival remains committed to supporting the Pantry. Nearly 150,000 pounds of food and $100,000 has been collected over that time.

The Dublin Food Pantry connects people with nutritious food and essential personal care items. The pandemic has created an even greater number of people requiring services. In the first four months of 2020, the Dublin Food Pantry experienced a 150% increase in need.

To help meet the growing need, guests purchasing tickets to the Dublin Irish Days Concerts and the theater performance “The Irish… and How They Got That Way” may make donations when purchasing tickets online.

As in past years, the Dublin Irish Festival 5K runners are able to support the efforts of the Dublin Food Pantry when registering online.

The Dublin Food Pantry will be collecting canned goods and cash donations on Sunday, Aug. 8 at the Dublin Irish Days concert venue in Coffman Park.

There will be no free admission on Sunday this year. However, we greatly appreciate our Dublin Irish Festival community's giving spirit. Thank you!

In addition to donating non-perishable food items and cash at the Sunday concerts, two local regilious organizations will also act as a drop-off location on Sunday, Aug. 8.

About the Rite
Three Cranes will virtually celebrate the Feast of Lughnasa. During this ritual, members of the Grove will share the story of the Irish god Lugh and his battle with the Beast of Blight. Since this is a virtual ceremony, monetary donations to the Dublin Food Pantry, rather than canned goods, will be encouraged during the ritual.

About the Service
This U2charist is a communion service using the music of U2 as the hymns. The band U2 is from Ireland, and their music is laced through with biblical and religious themes. U2 allows churches to use their music as long as all donations go to support the Millennium Development Goals. Donations for the Aug. 8 services will go to the Dublin Food Pantry.
