Goitse
Performances: Friday & Saturday
Goitse has released five critically acclaimed recordings and maintains a year round touring schedule that includes performances throughout Ireland and the UK, Germany, France and the United States.
Their latests CD, ‘Úr, was named ‘traditional album of the year’ in the ASLR celtic music awards.
Their distinctive sound lies in the quality of their own compositions interspersed with traditional tunes from the countryside of Ireland and abroad, which make each performance unique. Laying the
foundations for the music are World and All-Ireland Bodhrán champion Colm Phelan and Conal O’Kane, who is fast making a name for himself as one of the finest guitarists of his generation. The gripping rhythm section sets a powerful drive for the music while the sweet, charismatic voice of Áine Mc Geeney draws audiences into a song the way few performers can. Áine was named female musician of of the year in the ASLR awards in 2020 and the composer of the year in 2021.
Together, the quintet Goitse makes what Irish Music Magazine calls “Music that’s brimming with energy and creative zeal.”

Talisk
Performances: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
At its core, three seemingly acoustic
instruments - but in the hands of three master craftsmen; one unmistakable,
bold sound and a captivating live show.
Alongside extensive touring, Talisk have stacked up major awards for their explosively energetic, artfully woven sound - including Folk Band of the Year at the BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award, and the Belhaven Bursary for Innovation. Appearances at leading festivals across multiple continents have amassed a die-hard following.
The band welcomed 2022 with a TV audience of over a million, performing to widespread acclaim on BBC1’s
Hogmanay 2022 - shortly followed by a sold-out show in Glasgow’s iconic Old Fruitmarket, the release of their hotly anticipated third album (earning their second five-star Top of the World review in Songlines and taking their streaming figures into multiple millions) before returning to extensive touring across the USA, UK and Europe.

JigJam
Performances: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
JigJam is a multi-award winning quintet from the heart of the midlands in Ireland. Blending the best of traditional Irish music with Bluegrass and Americana in a new genre which has been branded as ‘I-Grass’ (Irish influenced Bluegrass), their onstage energy along with their virtuosic musical ability has captivated audiences throughout the world. Jamie McKeogh and Daithi Melia hail from Tullamore, Co. Offaly with Co. Tipperary born Gavin Strappe completing the Irish members of the Band. An injection of Scottish energy is added by Calum Morrison and Daniel Hunter rounding off the quintet. All five members grew up immersed in Irish traditional music and culture which is reflected by the band collectively achieving over twenty All-Ireland titles at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann competitions. They have now developed their own unique style of music influenced by American Folk music while staying true to their Irish roots. Described as ‘The best Irish group so far in bluegrass’ this sharply dressed outfit delivers an energy-fueled, foot-stomping live performance. JigJam interchanges between banjos, guitars, fiddles, mandolins and double bass onstage which creates an experience which is pleasing to both the eye and the ear.

Drowsy Lads
Performances: Saturday & Sunday
The Drowsy Lads roared onto the Irish music scene in the Midwest a dozen years ago and have become favorites at pubs, clubs, festivals, and concert halls. Ohio brothers John and Daniel McKewen, father and son Phil and Josh Franck, and lifelong friend Bryan Brookes bring to the stage a concoction of “can’t hold still” Irish dance tunes as well as a full emotional gamut of songs. They’ve won the affections of audiences ranging from casual newbs, to those steeped in hardcore Trad. Each Lad is a multi-instrumentalist, and the combined lineup includes fiddle, button accordion, tenor banjo, flute, whistle, guitar, bouzouki, Uilleann pipes, 5-string banjo, concertina, and bodhran. Besides being stalwart purveyors of Irish mirth at Byrnes Pub, Claddagh Pub, Natalie’s, and Ramblin’House in their hometown of Columbus, The Drowsy Lads are lighting up many Irish festivals these days, including Dublin, Milwaukee, and Dayton. They were also featured at Lakeside Ohio’s Chautauqua series for four years, at the Murphy Theatre in Wilmington twice, and were guest artists with the Otterbein University Orchestra.
