2018 Dublin Irish Festival Scholarship Winners

The Dublin Irish Festival has announced the two winners of the 2018 Dublin Irish Festival Scholarships. Megan Reimer and Anthony “Tony” Rogner will both receive $2,500 cash scholarships.

The Dublin Irish Festival Scholarship is awarded each year to graduating high school seniors who have shown exceptional community involvement as Dublin Irish Festival volunteers.

Megan Reimer
Megan Reimer has volunteered extensively for the Dublin Irish Festival for the past two years. She volunteered both during the Festival as a floater and prior to the festival handing out volunteer packets. Apart from the festival, she is one of the leaders and an active member of Dublin Teen Corps, a teen volunteer group with the City of Dublin. Megan graduated as both a Valedictorian and an International Baccalaureate scholar from Dublin Jerome High School, and will be attending Gettysburg College to major in Globalization Studies this fall.

Anthony “Tony” Rogner
Tony Rogner has volunteered at the Dublin Irish Festival for the last 9 years, working at various admissions gates. He also volunteers throughout his community, as well as his parish Saint Brigid of Kildare. Tony spends his free time running cross country and track and field at Bishop Watterson High School, where he will graduate from in May. He will attend the University of Cincinnati in the fall to major in Exercise Science.
