Dublin Irish Festival’s Official Statement Regarding the Death of the Fleming Family
The Dublin Irish Festival has been following the tragic news of a Lake Erie plane crash in Cleveland on Thursday, Dec. 29. While early reports looked grim, we remained intensely hopeful for a different outcome for the Fleming and Casey families.
With heavy hearts, we are grieving the loss of a very special family; John T. Fleming, his wife Suzanne and their two sons, Jack and Andrew, who were a part of our family for years, and especially in 2008 when John was selected to serve as the Dublin Irish Festival Honorary Chair.
On behalf of our staff, our volunteers, our committee members, and especially the close-knit family of our former Honorary Chairs, our thoughts and prayers go out to every person, family member and friend the Flemings touched.
Especially in our thoughts is the family of employees at our long-standing sponsor, Superior Beverage Group, where John served as the President and CEO for nearly 30 years. To know John was to love him. He was deeply rooted in the Dublin community and his entire family will be sorely missed by many.
