An educational, non-profit organization, The Columbus Feis Inc. plans and supports the annual Columbus Feis, an Irish step-dance competition.  The competition does not take place on Festival grounds, but across the street at Dublin Coffman High School.  The feis welcomes over 1200 dancers, with participants from schools all over the United States, as well as some from Canada and occasionally overseas.  Along with traditional Irish Dance, competitions include Arts, Crafts, Instrumental and Vocal Performance, Bread Making and Irish Language and Essay.  The feis is a true celebration of the heritage of the Irish people.  Feis events that take place at the Dublin Irish Festival include the adult dance competition on Friday at the Cardinal Health Ceili Stage, and the Parade of Feis Champions on Saturday at the Irish Thunder Stage.  Registration is at the Columbus Feis site: http://www.columbusfeis.com/
