2016 Dublin Irish Festival Scholarship Winners Announced

Festival Facts:

  • The Dublin Irish Festival has announced the two winners of the 2016 Dublin Irish Festival Scholarships. Calsey Graham from Dublin Jerome High School and Sophie Stidhem from Dublin Coffman High School will both receive $2,500 cash scholarships.
  • The Dublin Irish Festival Scholarship is awarded each year to graduating high school seniors who have shown exceptional community involvement as Dublin Irish Festival volunteers.
  • Calsey Graham has worked as an active volunteer for the Dublin Irish Festival for six years. She has served at the admission gates and children’s areas, welcoming thousands of guests to Dublin, Ohio. In addition, she is a Valedictorian, AP Scholar and peer buddy for children with special needs, to name a few. Calsey will attend The Ohio State University to study Neuroscience and specialize in pediatric oncology.
  • Sophie Stidhem began her volunteer experience with the Dublin Irish Festival at the age of seven. For 10 years she has volunteered at the admission gates and children’s areas, enhancing the guest experience for thousands of event attendees. In addition, she is a Valedictorian, AP Scholar, and member of the Dublin Coffman High School Track and Cross Country teams, to name a few. Sophie will attend the University of Dayton in the fall to double major in Management Information Systems and Psychology.
